Pillar 3: Global Positioning and Industry Engagement
Raise Sonora’s visibility and credibility in global semiconductor networks — through branding, outreach, anchor firm engagement, and international promotion.
KEY ACTIONS
Launch a Branding and Outreach Campaign. Promote “ATP-Ready Sonora: Reliable Energy, Skilled Workforce, Strategic Border” across binational and international industry platforms.
Create an Investment Promotion Toolkit. Develop targeted materials featuring:
• Pre-permitted sites and industrial park assets
• Workforce pipelines and training partnerships
• Reliable power, water availability, and strategic border logisticsEngage Anchor Firms and Strategic Suppliers. Identify top ATP/backend players (e.g., ASE, Amkor, Advantest) and build early engagement through site visits, dialogues, co-design sessions, student projects, applied research, etc.
Enable Pilot Projects and Supplier Readiness Programs. Collaborate with local manufacturers to build capabilities in packaging, testing, and cleanroom support — preparing them for future integration into global ATP value chains as suppliers or service providers.
Position Sonora in the Global Semiconductor Conversation. Actively represent Sonora at key events — including semiconductor forums (e.g., Semicon West), nearshoring expos, and investor roadshows — to raise visibility and credibility.
